Student Testimonials
One of the main resources that helped me to secure my first co-op position with BDO in 2022, which launched my journey with the firm, was connecting with the Sprott Career advisors for a mock interview in the days leading up to my interview. This preparation allowed me to go into my interview with an added confidence and helped me to highlight my most relevant skills and experience to really pitch myself as the ideal candidate for the position. During my interview, the comment I received from the partner was: “Are you reading from a script? I have never heard anyone this well-spoken and prepared for an interview with all the right answers.” Just one hour later, I received the call from HR that I had secured the co-op position with BDO. Making use of these resources and other strategies learned in Sprott Career workshops and COOP1000 allowed me to continue to set a strong impression and propel my accounting career. – Kayla Young
