UN Principles for Responsible Management Education

PRME Principles for Responsible Management Education

Since 2017, Sprott is a Signatory Member of the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME)—a United Nations-supported initiative. Working through Six Principles, PRME engages business and management schools to ensure they provide future leaders with the skills needed to balance economic and sustainability goals, while drawing attention to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and aligning academic institutions with the work of the UN Global Compact.

The Sprott School of Business is a member of the Global Business School Network (GBSN), an alliance of 150+ member institutions in 60+ countries working together to strengthen the contributions of management education to the the development needs of society. GBSN was founded in 2003 by the World Bank.

CPA (Chartered Professional Accountants)

CPA Accredited logo

Sprott’s Master of Accounting program is accredited by CPA Ontario and CPA Canada. Students who graduate from the Master of Accounting program are exempt from the Professional Education Program and can proceed directly to the CPA Canada Common Final Examination. The accreditation is valid for students of all CPA jurisdictions in Canada.

The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accounting

The Sprott School of Business has partnered with the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA). Sprott’s Bachelor of Accounting and Bachelor of Commerce – Accounting programs cover several modules of the CIPFA body of knowledge, providing graduates with an accelerated pathway to the Chartered Public Finance Accountant (CPFA) designation and global accounting careers.

CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst)

CFA Institute

Sprott’s Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Master of Finance are recognized as affiliated university programs with the CFA Institute. The curriculum of the program is closely tied to the practice of investment management and is helpful to students preparing for the CFA® Program exams
