The Sprott MSc in Management
Sprott’s Master of Science in Management provides the research foundation to advance to doctoral studies or applied research careers in the public, private or not-for-profit sectors.
The focus of the Sprott MSc in Management program is applied research about complex management problems in a rapidly changing and globally oriented environment.
The core of the program is a set of integrative design, methodology and functional area courses that will equip students with knowledge of research methods and statistics as well as coursework in an area of interest. Coursework is combined with a thesis.
For the thesis, students will undertake independent research related to issues consistent with the general focus of the MSc program. Students will submit a written document of the subject investigated and must also pass both a written and an oral examination of the thesis. The MSc in Management program is specifically designed to be interdisciplinary. MSc students will pursue research questions generated by complex problems faced by organizations. Students will draw on knowledge from multiple disciplinary areas within the School, and may also draw from other departments in the University as warranted.
