The Sprott School of Business is dedicated to providing innovative programs, conducting leading interdisciplinary research and developing meaningful collaborative partnerships. Sprott brings together faculty with research interests aligning with our core strengths in innovation, responsible management and international focus. Its location in Canada’s capital makes it an ideal research location to engage with government and non-government organizations in the capital region. The Fulbright Visiting Research Chair(s) will have opportunities to deliver public lectures, give seminar presentations, lecture in an appropriate class, participate in conferences and related research, and otherwise contribute to the intellectual life of the university. The Chair(s) will be an established or emerging scholar broadly situated in the fields of fintech or accounting. Applicants to the Chair in Fintech or the Chair in Accounting will pursue research that aligns with Sprott’s strengths in innovative, technology-enabled financial and accounting practices. Their work will contribute to forward-looking scholarship that advances theory, informs practice and policy, and supports Sprott’s commitment to impactful, interdisciplinary, and socially responsive research across the business and public sectors.
Specializations:
Fintech: digital finance, blockchain, crypto markets, fintech governance, and data/AI-enabled financial technologies
Accounting: sustainability/ESG reporting, tech-enabled accounting, audit analytics, and evolving financial and non-financial information practices

Contract Instructor Salaries for Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 courses:
- Half Credit Course: $9,255
- Full Credit Course: $18,508
- Quarter credit course: $5,119
The following courses have been assigned to graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, or visiting scholars. These courses are not open for applications but the department will contact the most senior incumbent to review their rights under Article 17.6 of the CUPE 4600-2 Collective Agreement.
