Area of Research: Marketing
Amirreza Afrouzi is a diligent scholar in the second year of his Ph.D. program at the Sprott School of Business, Carleton University, specializing in Marketing. With a strong foundation in entrepreneurship, which he studied at the University of Tehran for his Master’s degree, Amirreza has developed a keen interest in the multifaceted domain of business studies.
A significant part of Amirreza’s research portfolio includes a published paper in the hospitality and tourism industry, which is the culmination of a collaborative effort with an international team. The paper offers insightful comparisons of cultural differences at the national level among four diverse countries. His expertise in cross-cultural studies is further accentuated by another paper on a similar subject that is currently under review.
In addition to his cross-cultural research, Amirreza is actively involved in an important research project at Sprott. This project, focusing on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) among graduate students at Sprott, is spearheaded by Dr. Neilson and is funded by the Dean’s office and The Centre for Research on Inclusion at Work (CRIW). Amirreza’s participation in this project reflects his commitment to fostering a more inclusive academic environment.
Besides his empirical research, Amirreza has demonstrated acumen in the analytical realm through his comprehensive literature review on Customer Engagement. This review meticulously traces the historical and conceptual evolution of customer engagement, thereby offering readers a holistic understanding of the subject.
Amirreza’s research interests are diverse and forward-looking. He is particularly intrigued by the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in marketing, with a special emphasis on predictive analytics. This emerging area of study exemplifies the synthesis of technological innovation and marketing strategy, which is poised to redefine the contemporary business landscape.
