Economics for Success (EFS) focuses on financial literacy, challenges students to reflect on their personal and professional goals and highlights the advantages of education and training for long-term success. Volunteers help students prepare a personal budget, assist with role-play networking, introduce interview scenarios, and teach students about career choices. Due to COVID restrictions, EFS has been condensed and is currently being offered as a 1-2 hour virtual program.
This volunteer role is for you if:
- You want to teach youth the value of planning for the future, of managing their money and preparing for life after secondary school
- You like sharing your personal stories and experiences
- You enjoy facilitating groups or want to practice your public speaking skills
