Dana Brown, dean of Carleton University’s Sprott School of Business, recently joined the board of directors of the Kanata North Business Association.

Situated in Ottawa’s west end, Kanata North is Canada’s largest technology park with over 540 companies located there, and has long been recognized as a hotbed of technological innovation.

“I am humbled and delighted to have joined Kanata North’s board,” Dana said. “I am looking forward to being a part of their bold and ambitious vision for Ottawa’s future.”

“Through this role I am also hoping to strengthen the relationship between the park and the Sprott School of Business, as I believe a strong connection between the two will open up countless opportunities for Kanata North, the university and the City of Ottawa.”

Sprott students have already been making an impact within Kanata North firms, and Dana’s recent appointment will help to grow the work-integrated learning opportunities for students in tech innovation, as well as connect firms to the talent and resources at Carleton.
