A new school year begins: Sprott School of Business welcomes students to a new home
On September 8, the Sprott School of Business welcomed students to its new home in the Nicol Building as Carleton University resumed some in-person classes for the fall semester, following the switch to online 18 months prior due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“After having been apart for a year and a half, it’s a delight to see our students around campus again,” said Dana Brown, dean of the Sprott School of Business. “And the fact that we can welcome them into Sprott’s long-awaited new home makes this moment even more special.”
This fall, growth in our undergraduate programs has resulted in over 600 new undergraduate students joining Sprott’s Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of International Business programs. In addition, more than 100 new graduate students have joined Sprott’s MBA, Professional MBA, Master of Accounting, MSc in Management and PhD in Management programs. Sprott’s academic programs are accredited by AACSB International.
“I want to wish all our students a fantastic semester ahead,” Dana said. “We’re here to support you every step of the way.”
The fall 2021 course schedule includes a combination of in-person and online course delivery types to provide flexibility for students, while accounting for public health guidelines and the safety of the Carleton community.
