On Saturday, November 12, 21 students in the first class of the Sprott MBA in Bogotá, Colombia, will graduate.
The Sprott MBA was launched in Bogotá, Colombia, in the spring of 2014, in partnership with Colegio de Estudios Superirores de Administración (CESA).
“CESA is an ideal partner as they have a very strong undergraduate program and professional programs, but did not have an MBA program,” says Lorraine Dyke, Sprott Associate Dean of Professional Graduate Programs.
“It has been a great opportunity for our faculty to learn more about the culture and economy of Colombia and for our Colombian students to learn more about doing business in Canada and the United States.”
The program includes a study trip to Canada, which features visits to organizations that have a focus on international business.
In addition to the Sprott MBA curriculum, the students also take courses developed by CESA, making them eligible for an additional CESA qualification. The program is delivered in an executive weekend format over 24 months. Content is delivered two-thirds in English, one-third in Spanish.
The program has been very successful in Colombia. The Sprott MBA will welcome its fourth cohort in Bogotá in January.
