Sandra Nelson
Area of Research: Management and Strategy Sandra is an authentic leader with over 20 years of experience in the Higher Education sector, including over ten years of university administrative management. She has been highly successful in delivering large and complex projects, focusing on strategic reorientation, change leadership and building collaborative teams. Through her work at Carleton, as Chair of the Ontario Professional Procurement Management Association (OUPPMA) and as a volunteer of the Canadian Association of University Business Officers (CAUBO), she aspires to lead and motivate colleagues in a positive and challenging manner. She is currently completing her PhD in Management at Carleton University, specializing in organizational change and change management.
Sandra's areas of research interest include organizational change, organizational culture, leadership, and generational differences in the workplace. Her current project is exploring how Canadian accounting firms need to change their recruitment and retention practices in light of the rapid changes in today's labour market.
Sandra also has interests in project management and exploring the intersection between change management and project management in theory and study.
