Dr. Qi Deng is an Assistant Professor of Business Analytics at the Sprott School of Business. Prior to joining Carleton, he was an Assistant Professor of Information Systems at the Rowe School of Business at Dalhousie University. He holds a PhD in Management (Information Systems) from Carleton University (Canada), an MSc in Management from the Central University of Finance and Economics (China), and a Bachelor of Management from the China Agricultural University (China).

His research interests include social media analytics, digital marketing, computer-mediated communication, and human-AI interaction and collaboration. His research has been published in refereed journals, such as Electronic Commerce Research and Applications, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Interactive Marketing, British Journal of Educational Technology, and Pacific Asia Journal of the Association for Information Systems, and presented at major Information Systems conferences, such as International Conference on Information Systems, Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences, and Americas Conference on Information Systems.
