Andrew’s research interests lie at the intersection of empirical corporate finance, strategy and economics. His primary area of focus is exploring the relationship between corporate governance, innovation and economic growth with sectoral emphasis in healthcare, natural resources and financial technology. His theoretical interests include agency theory, neoinstitutionalism and endogenous growth.
Andrew’s current research includes (a) using blockchain as an empirical laboratory to test and build models between governance, innovation and financial performance, (b) explore the economic impact of the derivatives market and (c) understand how innovation is affected by financial disintermediation, CEO compensation and media coverage of boards.
