Area of Research: Finance

Adnan is a Senior Manager in Deloitte Canada’s Global Investments and Innovation Incentives (Gi3) practice, where he advises companies, from seed-stage startups to multinational enterprises, on Canada’s Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) tax incentive program. His client work focuses on emerging-technology sectors, including fintech, defence and SaaS, where he aligns firms’ R&D processes and corporate structures with Canada Revenue Agency requirements. This applied perspective informs his doctoral research in corporate finance, with interests in capital structure, tax incentives, and innovation financing.
