Voices of the Migration Ecosystem in Canada and Brazil
You are invited to participate in a research project about Immigration in Canada and Brazil. We are looking for volunteers to generate art with help of Artificial Intelligence software on immigration in Canada. Our project aims to capture multiple voices within the immigration ecosystems to be displayed in a virtual art exhibition.
To be eligible, you must be an immigrant or work with immigrants, be at least 18 years old, and fluent in English or Portuguese.
You can participate in this study in two ways:
1. Filling out a 10-minute anonymous survey in which we will ask you to provide a few words and sentences that describe your experience of the immigration system in Canada. These words and sentences will be used in an artistic composition.
2. Participating in an art-generation exercise supported by an AI tool. This option involves a 45-minute interview online or in person at Carleton University in which you will be invited to share your experience with the immigration system in Canada and generate a metaphor that captures your understanding. We will work together to transform this metaphor into artwork using DALL-E 3. Your artwork will be submitted for consideration in a virtual art exhibition we are preparing. You may choose if you want your artwork to be attributed or anonymous. This exercise can be conducted in English or Portuguese. Review the Consent form.
Schedule an interview OR fill out the contact form below and we will reach out to you.
