Prepare for global financial careers with the Sprott Master of Finance (MFin) degree. Complete your MFin degree in 16 months!
The MFin professional program places significant emphasis on data analysis skills, which are increasingly crucial in the finance industry. Students will learn to analyze financial data, identify trends, and patterns, and make informed investment decisions using data-driven approaches.
Course content covers the CFA® Institute Chartered Financial Analyst Candidate Body of Knowledge in depth. MFin graduates will be prepared to pursue a CFA® designation upon completion of their coursework. The CFA® designation is a global credential that gives you the flexibility to work anywhere in the world in a broad range of careers.
MFin students will have access to career services for career advising and support with job search, resume and cover letter writing, networking, and more. As a Sprott student, you will also have access to on- and off-campus networking events, employer information sessions, as well as to exclusive job and internship opportunities through Sprott’s career portal.
During the final term of the program, MFin students will complete a 16 week internship to build professional experience.Candidates with 2+ years of relevant financial industry work experience can apply for an internship exemption once in the program, making it possible to secure full-time employment after 12 months.

MFin courses equip students with a deep knowledge of investment analysis, investment management, risk management, sustainable finance, ESG, and applied data analysis. The Master of Finance is currently offered in-person as a full-time program.

MFin students have the opportunity to take part in the Sprott Student Investment Fund, a real investment portfolio with assets valued at more than $2 million. A team of top Sprott students actively manage the fund’s assets to build value, manage risk and invest responsibly. The setting and approach model the external investment environment.
