Join us on June 7 for an inspiring talk from Bhawani Singh Shekhawat, a global changemaker and CEO of Akshaya Patra Foundation, which runs the largest, NGO-directed school meal program in the world.
This event is being hosted in Woodside Hall at the Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Centre.
“Given the size and scale of challenges that we see around the world, and as clearly reflected in the performance of UN SDGs, it is clear we need to dramatically rethink our approach to the many societal challenges we face. We need to conceptualize and execute models of transformation that are designed for speed and scale. We must also ensure that these models are entrepreneurial, dynamic and leverage the power of integrated systems.
"I have always believed that at its core, every enterprise ought to believe and perhaps even behave like a social enterprise. At its core, every enterprise exists to serve. And to serve in a way that catalyzes and fosters transformation, we must navigate the journey which conjugates the mind of a corporate and the heart of service. In this talk I will highlight the principles that make this possible and practices that highlight the impact of doing so.”
