OVERVIEW
Ottawa’s sports and recreation sector continues to expand, creating new opportunities for professionals across teams, associations, leagues, facilities, recreation providers, events, and front offices. Sprott Executive Education at Carleton University is exploring a new Sports Leadership Program to support professionals who want to advance, lead, and build lasting careers in the region.
Before we design the program, we want to hear directly from people working in the sector.
Moderated by Ian Mendes, Vice-President of Communications at the Ottawa Senators.
What We Want to Learn:
- Which leadership, business, communication, and management skills are most needed now
- Where professionals see career barriers, gaps, and advancement opportunities
- How learning should be delivered to fit the realities of the sector
- What would make a Sports Leadership Program valuable, practical, and relevant
Your Perspective Matters
Whether you are an emerging professional, manager, executive, coach, administrator, marketer, events professional, facility operator, or work in another role, your feedback will help shape a program designed around the needs and aspirations of Ottawa’s sports community.
