Sprott Ambassador Program
Do you have a desire to enhance your collaboration, communication, leadership, and networking skills? Do you want to network with other business students and professionals? Are you looking for an opportunity to engage and give back to your Sprott community? Would you like to kickstart your career during your time at Carleton? Look no further! Ambassador Requirements:
- Be a Sprott undergraduate student (BCom or BIB) who is eligible to continue in a Sprott Program
- Have effective time-management skills to successfully balance academic responsibilities with the commitment to an Ambassador Team
- Commit to volunteering approximately 5 hours a week

- Develop communication and leadership skills
- Develop a strong network within the business school community
- Contribute to your Sprott community in a meaningful and impactful way
Sprott Ambassador Teams
Please review the descriptions and mandates of each Ambassador Team. Let us know what team you would like to join by ranking all teams from 1 to 4 (1 = top choice) in your application. Note that each team has its own mandate and commitment requirements based on team projects and goals.

Career Ambassadors work closely with the Sprott Careers team and with the Employability Passport Coordinator to support undergraduate Sprott students with navigating their employability requirements and career skills development:
- Facilitate peer-to-peer career coaching drop-in hours in the Sprott Undergraduate Resource Center, with the aim to help students develop and obtain feedback on specific elements of their cover letter, resume, and other Employability Passport deliverables, including formatting, structure, timelines, etc.
- Contribute to career related learning opportunities by sharing experiences and best practices from a student perspective, assisting with developing resources, and supporting the career team during career workshops.

Digital Marketing Ambassadors work as a cross-functional team supporting all Sprott Ambassador teams with their digital marketing needs, while also developing authentic, relevant, engaging, and impactful digital content that connects and supports Sprott student needs:
- Contribute to strategies that will increase student engagement through digital communications.
- Foster a strong sense of community and Sprott Love in digital spaces.
- Participate in social media takeovers on the Sprott Instagram.
- Develop video content showcasing peer-to-peer Sprott stories.

Sprott Event Support Ambassadors will work closely with the Sprott Events Coordinator, gaining meaningful experience executing small and larger scale events including:
- Supporting the Sprott Events Coordinator with pre-event preparations and decorations
- Supporting the setup of Nicol Building spaces.
- Day-of logistics such us set-up coordination, troubleshooting support, as well as greeting, guiding, and registering event attendees.
- Event Take-down support.

Peer Coaching Ambassadors work closely with the Sprott Undergraduate Administrator to enhance student engagement within the Sprott community and share their personal experiences to support others in achieving their goals. Key responsibilities include:
- Peer Coaching Drop-In Hours: Assist students by offering guidance at the Sprott Undergraduate Resource Center, helping them navigate their academic and social experiences.
- Coaching and Referrals: Through one-on-one coaching sessions, help students address a variety of questions and, when necessary, refer them to appropriate resources at Sprott and throughout the university.
- Facilitating Study Breaks: Host Study Break sessions in the Undergraduate Resource Room to foster community and provide a relaxed space for students to connect.
- Event Support: Provide assistance during large-scale events, such as Academic Orientation and Sprott Expo, offering guidance and creating a welcoming atmosphere for attendees.
- Content Creation and Resources: Develop motivational and supportive content and resources designed to help students stay focused and engaged with their academic and extracurricular goals.
- Support First-Year Students: Assist in the successful transition of first-year Sprott students, acting as a resource and helping them connect with opportunities within the Sprott community to foster a sense of belonging and engagement.
Through these activities, Peer Coaching Ambassadors help students become more connected, informed, and empowered to succeed in both their academic and personal journeys at Sprott.
