NextGen Network
The NextGen Network is a new SBSS program connecting first- and second-year Sprott students with upper-year mentors who can share their experiences, answer questions, and help you navigate everything from getting involved in Sprott to internships, opportunities, and networking.
How it works
The NextGen Network is a full-year program running from September to April.
As a first- or second-year student, you’ll be placed into a small group of 3–5 students with an upper-year Sprott mentor. Throughout the year, your mentor will be someone you can turn to for advice, questions, and perspective while also helping you build confidence in networking and making professional connections.
You will:
- Meet with your group once a month for 30–60 minutes
- Connect over coffee, lunch, studying, between classes, or whatever works best for your group
- Learn practical networking tips and strategies from your mentor
- Attend at least one SBSS event with your group
- Have your participation recognized on your Co-Curricular Record (CCR)
The goal is simple: give you someone in Sprott who’s already been there and can help you figure out what comes next.
