Online MBA Registration
Online MBA Policies and Processes
- If you believe there has been an error in the grading of a course, please contact the course instructor to request a grade review.
- If the failed course is a core course or concentration course, it must be re-taken and passed in order to meet the program requirement. If the failed course is an elective, you can either re-take the same course, or take a different elective course of the same credit value.
- The minimum passing grade for a graduate level course at Carleton University is B-.Please review the grading regulations for the MBA.
- The main student page has a Dates and Deadlines section, which has all of the term start and end dates listed, as well as the registration and financial dates and deadlines.
Online MBA Program Changes
- If you would like to add, remove, or change your concentration at any point in the program, please email the request to mbaadvising@sprott.carleton.ca. If you are choosing to add or change a concentration, we recommend deciding on a concentration early in the program, as this will make planning out your courses much easier.
- Students are admitted into either the full-time or part-time program, and we recommend to maintain that status throughout the program, as this allows students to follow pre-designed course maps. - Yes. If you are planning to take a part-term off (7 weeks), you can simply not register for that part of term, and then resume registration the following part of term. Online MBA Fees
- There is no funding provided on admission for the MBA program. There are some internal awards that students can apply for, such as donor-funded awards. - All full-time students receive medical and dental coverage through the Graduate Students’ Association (GSA). This is charged once per year in the Fall term. If you have alternative coverage, you can opt out of this fee in the Fall: https://gsacarleton.ca/student-services/ All other fees are mandatory: https://carleton.ca/studentaccounts/tuition-fees/misc-fees/
Graduating from the Online MBA
- Absolutely! All graduates will be invited to the convocation ceremony. There is one ceremony per year in June. Information on the convocation ceremony can be found here: https://convocation.carleton.ca/
- At any point in your program, you can run your academic audit. Your audit will list your program requirements, and list all courses you have taken within those requirements. You can run your audit in Carleton Central> Academic Progress> myAudit If you have any questions about your audit, please email mbaadvising@sprott.carleton.ca.
- If you are a Spring graduate (May) and you do not attend the graduation ceremony, Graduate Studies will mail out any remaining diplomas the week following the ceremony. - Part-time students have a 5-year time limit to meet their program requirements. Full-time students have a 2-year time limit.
- You will apply for graduation when you are in your final term of study. Applications can be found in Carleton Central> Student Online Applications> Apply to Graduate Before applying to graduate, you should confirm your eligibility by reviewing your audit.
