The Sprott School of Business offers five minor options for students outside of business:
Only students pursuing undergraduate programs (except BCom and BIB) requiring at least 20.0 credits to graduate (Honors) and who have completed at least 4.0 credits (first year) towards their degree, with a minimum CGPA of 7.0, may be admitted to the Minor in Business. The courses listed are grouped by areas and specializations. Some elective courses need additional prerequisites beyond those courses appearing above them. Please refer to the Undergraduate Calendar to ensure you have ALL prerequisites before registering for these courses.
Please note: You may wish to choose courses that compliment your primary area of study. Almost all upper level business courses have lower level prerequisites, so please choose your courses carefully.
Students in some degree programs may not have sufficient “free” electives to complete the requirements for the MiB beyond the specific credits designated for their degree. In such cases, students choosing to pursue the Minor option, will have to fulfill the requirements of the Minor over and above the requirements of their primary degree program.
The Minor notation cannot be pursued or the notation added to a degree after graduation.
For students considering or enrolled in a business/entrepreneurship minor, please visit the Academic Advising Centre for information about academic advising and registration.
