Rumaisa Shaukat

Dr. Rumaisa Shaukat has been teaching undergraduate, graduate, and professional MBA level courses [over 47] in the areas of Organizational Theory, Human Resource Management both at Carleton University’s Sprott School of Business and at the University of Ottawa’s Telfer School of Management for over 17 years. She has been the recipient of many teaching endorsements during her teaching tenure, including the most recent teaching excellence awards from Sprott School of Business, Carleton University. In addition to her academic endeavors, she has consulted on leadership, change management and HRM issues for several companies, and acted as a facilitator for boards and executive teams. Apart from three post-graduate degrees, she holds many professional designations including a Certified Human Resource Leader (CHRL) and a Change Management Professional designation.

Her primary research interests revolve around employee wellbeing in the workplace, and individual and organizational factors that influence these outcomes. Other areas of interest include the impact of leadership and general human resource management practices on individual and organizational health (through more context-based studies/evaluations). More recently she has examined the implications of leadership (ethical and unethical) on employee attitudes and behaviors at work. Her work is published in peer-reviewed management journals such as International Journal of Knowledge, Culture and Change Management; The International Journal of Humanities; The International Journalof Technology, Knowledge and Society; and The International Journal of Interdisciplinary Social Sciences.
