Dr. Frank Jiang joined Sprott in 2016 and was previously an associate professor at the Rowe School of Business at Dalhousie University. He has taught courses in strategic management, global strategy, and international management at various universities in Canada, Colombia, and China.
Dr. Jiang’s research interests include international strategy, corporate governance, and corporate social responsibilities. His work focuses on organizational and environmental antecedents to firms’ foreign expansion strategy and the impact of foreign operations on firms’ corporate policies. Among other topics, his research has examined how initial public offerings influence the internationalization process of small- and medium-sized enterprises; how host-country religious diversity is associated with a higher risk of overseas operation; how host-country income inequality influences expansion strategies; as well as how corruption may play an important role in the success of overseas projects in developing markets. Dr. Jiang’s research has appeared in leading management journals including Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of World Business, Long Range Planning, and Global Strategy Journal.
Dr. Jiang is currently accepting new MSc and PhD students.
