Asit’s research focuses on the adoption of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics by organizations and consumers, with an emphasis on privacy, security, and trust. His research interests are interdisciplinary, exploring how personality, culture, and identity shape the acceptance and use of emerging technologies.
With fifteen years of industry experience, Asit brings a blend of practice-based knowledge and scholarly acumen to Sprott. He has a strong track record of managing high-value portfolios and large-scale operations in key leadership roles within the telecommunications sector.
As a certified coach, Asit has a distinguished reputation for developing high-performing teams and fostering individual excellence. He is also a keynote and motivational speaker, delivering transformative insights on a variety of topics such as artificial intelligence, robotics, communication, leadership, managing change, professional and personal growth, and building meaningful lives.
At Sprott, Asit has taught multiple courses, including Operations Management, Managing Performance, and Managing Projects to MBA students and Sales Management to BCom students (a new course he designed for the Marketing department). Asit has also conducted many seminars on the applications and use of Artificial Intelligence and serves as Vice President of the Sprott Research Graduate Society.
In addition, Asit is a reviewer for leading academic journals and conferences, including the Journal of Enterprise Information Management (JEIM), the Academy of Management (AOM), and the Administrative Sciences Association of Canada (ASAC), focusing on the latest research in Industry 5.0 (particularly AI and Robotics), Technology and Innovation Management, and Supply Chain and Operations Management.
Beyond his academic pursuits, Asit has a deep interest in creative arts. An experienced writer and filmmaker, he has worked on many short and feature films. His diverse experiences and unique skill set enhance his teaching methodologies and research, providing students with a well-rounded and engaging learning experience.
