Area of Research:
- International Business
- Management and Strategy
- Marketing
Arash harbors a deep interest in the complex realm of cross-cultural management studies. This interest is specifically targeted towards the exploration of sociological and behavioral dynamics that define business environments. Arash is passionate about understanding the underpinnings of human thought and behavior within distinct environments, especially in the way they are significantly shaped by diverse cultural backgrounds.
A fundamental focus of his research is the investigation of the ‘identity work perspective’. In this context, Arash leverages a socially constructivist approach, emphasizing the interpretation and understanding of reflective, qualitative data to gain profound insights into how identities are formed and interpreted within varied socio-cultural landscapes.
His research objective is to unravel the role of food consumption in the construction of immigrant identities. Arash aims to comprehend how immigrants, through their embodied experiences, utilize food as a resource or identity claim for identity construction. In so doing, he aspires to make a meaningful contribution to the processes of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) that often underscore the immigrant experience.
Expanding his realm of interest further, Arash is also exploring the profound impacts of language and diverse-and-historical semiotics on international business and marketing domains. He endeavors to unravel how language and such symbols, rich in diversity and historical significance, can either hinder or enhance cross-cultural communication, influencing international business strategies and marketing techniques.
