Angel Henchey
Area of Research: Management and Strategy
Angel is actively pursuing a Ph.D. in Management, with a specialization in Organizational Behavior, at Carleton University. Driven by an interest in careers and equity, diversity, and inclusion, her current projects are focused on finding ways to best support individuals in their careers, to help them make effective and successful decisions and changes in their career development.
Alongside her supervisor, Dr. Linda Schweitzer, and her research team, Angel is researching remote, hybrid, and in-office work arrangements, as more individuals are being asked back to the office full-time. Angel has also worked under a Mitacs Internship with Engineers Yukon, exploring the benefits and consequences of the new caregiving category added to their Continuing Professional Development program.
Angel has been awarded the Ontario Graduate Scholarship. She has also presented at several conferences, including the European Academy of Management (EURAM), the Academy of International Business (AIB), the Administrative Sciences Association of Canada (ASAC), the Gender, Work & Organization Conference (GWO), and Carleton’s Early Career Researcher Conference presented by the Center for Research on Inclusion at Work (CRIW).
Recently, Angel was one of the recipients of the Best Reviewer Award at AIB. She also has experience reviewing journal articles for Qualitative Research in Organizations and Management, the Journal of Global Mobility, Organization, and the International Journal of Gender, Science, and Technology.
