Alton Wu

Alton is a season Human Resources (HR) professional with a decade plus experience in both the public and private sectors. His work has led him to work on various projects such as staffing; organizational design and classification; equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility; performance management; training and development; HR policy and development; and official languages, among others. This work has occurred in vastly different industries, among them: customer service; hospitality; consumer goods; manufacturing; engineering; professional services; federal government and higher education.

Alton is Contract Instructor at Carleton University. Currently, in addition to his work at CU, Alton is Senior HR Advisor in the Government of Canada and Professor at Algonquin College (AC), Alton has been Program Coordinator of two Online Learning programs in HR, while concurrently teaching various HR courses for different programs within the School of Business and Hospitality at AC. 

Alton received a Human Resources and Industrial Relations Degree from the University of Toronto, a Human Resources Management Graduate Certificate from Georgian College, and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resources Leadership from the University of Fredericton. Alton possesses the Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation via the Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA).
