Mitacs is a national not-for-profit that offers matching funding for collaborative research and development (R&D) projects. Mitacs opportunities can support active collaborations between eligible partner organizations, senior undergraduate/graduate students or post-doctoral fellows, and their faculty supervisors to complete anywhere from a 4 month to a multi-year innovation-based research project. Mitacs can also support student entrepreneurs and provide funding for 12–24-week international research projects in eligible regions. For more information on any of these programs, eligibility requirements, and how best to proceed with a potential collaboration using Mitacs, please contact Ana Boika (aboika@mitacs.ca), the Mitacs Business Development Advisor for Carleton University.
