Sprott Peer Coaching Team
Peer Coaching Ambassadors work closely with the Sprott Undergraduate Administrator to enhance student engagement within the Sprott community and share their personal experiences to support others in achieving their goals. Key responsibilities include:
- Peer Coaching Drop-In Hours: Assist students by offering guidance at the Sprott Undergraduate Resource Center, helping them navigate their academic and social experiences.
- Coaching and Referrals: Through one-on-one coaching sessions, help students address a variety of questions and, when necessary, refer them to appropriate resources at Sprott and throughout the university.
- Facilitating Study Breaks: Host Study Break sessions in the Undergraduate Resource Room to foster community and provide a relaxed space for students to connect.
- Event Support: Provide assistance during large-scale events, such as Academic Orientation and Sprott Expo, offering guidance and creating a welcoming atmosphere for attendees.
- Content Creation and Resources: Develop motivational and supportive content and resources designed to help students stay focused and engaged with their academic and extracurricular goals.
- Support First-Year Students: Assist in the successful transition of first-year Sprott students, acting as a resource and helping them connect with opportunities within the Sprott community to foster a sense of belonging and engagement.
Through these activities, Peer Coaching Ambassadors help students become more connected, informed, and empowered to succeed in both their academic and personal journeys at Sprott.
