Aanya Baindur, BCom/26

Aanya is a graduate of Carleton University’s Bachelor of Commerce program with a concentration in Accounting. She has been awarded a Senate Medal for Outstanding Academic Achievement!

Aanya was heavily involved in the Sprott community during her studies. She served as the EDI Coordinator for the Sprott Business Student’s Society (SBSS) and was a member of the Women in Business at Sprott (WIBS) club. Aanya founded the Carleton Pride Society and helped organize Sprott’s participation in the Capital Pride parade.

Aanya was a Teaching Assistant for BUSI 1004: Financial Accounting for several terms and was the recipient the TA Excellence Award, which is nominated by students. She participated in the Sprott Undergraduate Student Research Experience and volunteered with the Sprott Tax Students’ Association (STSA) Tax Clinic. Aanya also travelled to Mayo, Yukon, twice for the course BUSI 4117: Developing Creative Thinking, where she contributed to work on the preservation and revitalization of the Northern Tutchone language in partnership with the First Nation of Na-Cho Nyäk Dun.

Aanya is continuing her studies with us at Sprott and currently enrolled in the Master of Accounting program.
