The Sprott School of Business at Carleton University will host the 10th North American Conference of the Centre for Social and Environmental Accounting Research (CSEAR NA) on June 22–23, 2026, bringing together scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to explore pressing issues in sustainability, society, and accounting. As part of a leading global research network, the conference will showcase innovative, peer-reviewed work on topics such as biodiversity, climate disclosure, Indigenous accountability, and emerging approaches to sustainability accounting. Featuring a keynote by ecologist Dr. Lenore Fahrig, the event will emphasize integrating ecological science into accounting frameworks. With strong participation, particularly from early-career researchers, and a focus on timely global challenges such as climate change and biodiversity loss, the conference aims to foster collaboration, disseminate impactful research, and inform policy and practice, ultimately strengthening Canada’s leadership in sustainability accounting and supporting more effective responses to environmental and social crises.
