The Sprott Master of Finance: A Powerful Combination of Finance and Data Analysis
Carleton’s Sprott School of Business is pleased to announce the launch of its new Master of Finance program, which will welcome its first cohort of students in Fall 2023. The Sprott Master of Finance (MFin) is a powerful combination of finance and data analysis specifically designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills demanded by leading companies around the world.
“Our faculty are excited,” said MFin Program Director and Finance Professor Yuriy Zabolotnyuk. “Employers have been asking for this and we’re ready to deliver.”
The MFin curriculum will include coverage of advanced financial concepts as well as analytical tools needed to make sense of financial data.
“The Sprott MFin complements existing offerings in our graduate portfolio and will be attractive to applicants from both Business and non-Business quantitative backgrounds, like economics, statistics, mathematics and engineering,” said Zabolotnyuk. “Students interested in careers in Finance now have the opportunity to learn the most up-to-date financial knowledge and data analysis skills required by the industry.”
Sprott MFin graduates will be equipped with deep knowledge of investment analysis, investment management, risk management, sustainable finance, ESG, and applied data analysis in a highly-competitive job market.
The MFin can be completed in 12 to 16 months, including a final term of internship to build professional experience. MFin graduates will have the foundation needed to pursue a CFA® designation upon completion of their coursework.
