Emily Gray, the Academic Director of Sprott’s Master of Accounting program, has been elected as a Fellow by the CPA Ontario Council.
The title of Fellow formally recognizes CPAs who have provided extraordinary service to the profession and in the community. This recognition acknowledges the leadership, competency and stewardship Emily has displayed in the accounting field and beyond.
Emily holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Carleton University, with a concentration in Accounting. She has been teaching accounting courses at Sprott since 2010. In addition to teaching, Emily has been involved with CPA Canada’s evaluations teams for CPA PEP and CFE since 2008, various sustainability initiatives and in the Barrhaven community.
Before joining Carleton, Emily was a senior auditor at Deloitte, and a financial management adviser at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.
Becoming an FCPA is the highest honour a CPA can receive. Emily joins Sprott colleagues Merridee Bujaki, Jacques Maurice and Francois Brouard in holding the distinguished rank of FCPA.
