The Nicol Building, home of Carleton University's Sprott School of Business, has won the top prize in the Architizer A+Awards for the category of Institutional: Higher Education and Research Facilities.
Designed by lead architect Siamak Hariri of Hariri Pontarini Architects, the Nicol Building reflects the school's values of imagination, compassion and purpose, and embodies Sprott's calling to be an innovative, creative, sustainably and socially responsible school.
“Our intention was to create a building that had enough presence to make it stand out in the landscape of business schools, but to balance it with a sense of intimacy – a place where students feel supported and embraced by their community.”Siamak Hairiri, Hariri Pontarini Architects
