Dean’s Update to Students – March 15
Dear Students,
We realize that COVID-19 is a source of concern among all of our students, and we understand that some of you may feel that it is best to be closer to family and friends at this time. We want to assure you that Carleton University is putting plans in place to ensure both your safety and the continuity of your studies.
As explained in the President’s update to students on Friday, all remaining content for your winter term courses will be delivered online and through other means. All final deliverables (terms papers, exams, presentations, etc.) will also be moving online, and our faculty are working presently on this. You will be kept informed.
As courses move online for delivery via cuLearn and/or other means, some content may be delivered in real-time during scheduled class hours. Please ensure that you can access online lectures and materials while at home, and be prepared to make yourself available for online classes at times scheduled by the instructor.
For those of you where travel home takes you across an international border, please reach out to the ISSO (isso@carleton.ca) should you have any questions in that regard. You will not be expected to return to Carleton to complete this semester’s studies or exams. If you are required to complete an internship in the summer (MBA students) and are unable to return before then, we will make arrangements for you complete this requirement remotely.
We want to emphasize that all of our faculty and staff are equipped to support you online presently, and should you have any additional questions please do not hesitate to reach out to us ( bcom@sprott.carleton.ca, bib@sprott.carleton.ca, mba@sprott.carleton.ca, pmba@sprott.carleton.ca; macc@sprott.carleton.ca;TIMprogram@carleton.ca; msc_info@sprott.carleton.ca; phd_info@sprott.carleton.ca ).
Sincerely,
