Sprott supply chain management students launch APICS chapter
Undergraduate students in the Sprott Supply Chain Management Association are starting a student chapter of APICS, a leading professional association for supply chain and operations management that provides research, education and certification programs in supply chain excellence.
“Our partnership with APICS gives the student body access to various events. These events are often attended by industry professionals seeking to improve and share their supply chain management knowledge and experience,” says Gurjot Sahni, Bachelor of Commerce student and President of the Sprott Supply Chain Management Association. “SSCMA plans to host APICS events at the Sprott School of Business and Carleton University at large.”
Members of the student chapter will have access to free or discounted tickets to APICS chapter events, as well as a variety of career resources, webinars and white papers. The APICS Ottawa Chapter runs a mentorship program that matches students with an accredited or certified APICS member.
“Having personally taken advantage of this program, I believe it is a great tool as a student to have access to,” adds Gurjot.
