Merridee Bujaki, Associate Professor of Accounting, has been elected as Fellow of CPA Ontario. Fellowship is the accounting profession’s highest distinction and is awarded in recognition of significant career achievement and contributions to their community.
Merridee teaches auditing and assurance in Sprott’s Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Accounting programs. Her research focuses on voluntary disclosure in Canadian corporate annual reports, the accounting profession and the accounting history of the Rideau Canal.
In addition to her faculty role at Sprott, Merridee is Director of Carleton’s Centre for Research and Education on Women Work (CREWW) where she oversees the centre’s research and educational programs. She is Past President of the Canadian Academic Accounting Association.
Merridee holds a Ph.D. in Management, MBA and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Queen’s University.
Merridee joins Sprott colleagues, Jacques Maurice and Francois Brouard, who are among the three per cent of CPA’s to hold the distinguished designation of FCPA.
