Business courses open to all Carleton students

A number of business courses are open to all Carleton undergraduate students. These courses are an excellent complement to any program and allow students to gain valuable business skills and knowledge.

The following courses transfer into a major requirement:

• BUSI 1001 – Principles of Financial Accounting (acceptable for transfer in lieu of BUSI 1004 – Major requirement in B.Com)
• BUSI 1002 – Management Accounting (acceptable for transfer in lieu of BUSI 1005 – Major requirement in B.Com)
• BUSI 1402 – Introduction to Business Information and Communication Technologies
• BUSI 2101 – Introduction to Organizational Behaviour
• BUSI 2701 – Fundamentals of International Business

The following courses do not transfer into a major requirement:

• BUSI 1003 – Survey of Accounting
• BUSI 2204 – Basic Marketing 
• BUSI 2503 – Basic Finance for Non-Business Majors
