Sprott professors honoured for teaching excellence

Two professors at the Sprott School of Business have been recognized for outstanding achievements in teaching.

The Ottawa Network for Education named Professor Rob Riordan as a recipient of a 2012 Capital Educators’ Award,  which recognizes outstanding educators in the Ottawa region. Professor Riordan teaches  information systems and business case analysis. He is also the faculty advisor for several Sprott business competition teams, including the 40-member team for JDC Central for which he was named Faculty Advisor of the Year at this year’s competition.

Carleton’s Educational Development Centre presented Professor Isaac Otchere with the Provost’s Fellowship in Teaching Award. This award recognizes sustained teaching excellence, scholarship of teaching and the continual development of teaching. Professor Otchere is a member of the finance faculty and teaches at both the undergraduate and MBA levels.
