Ravens’ Hinz named OUA Male Athlete of the Year
Even in the offseason, Carleton Ravens men’s basketball forward, Tyson Hinz, continues to make headlines as he racks up awards and honours, this time being named the inaugural OUA Male Athlete of the Year at the 2011 OUA Honour Awards banquet Thursday evening at Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville, Ont.
The Ottawa native has already accomplished so much in his young career. Earlier this season, he earned a spot on the OUA East first all-star team and was named the East player of the year. The 19-year-old went on to become one of the youngest recipients in history of the Mike Moser Memorial Trophy as CIS player of the year and earn all-Canadian status for the first time in his career.
