BUSI 3502: Investments
Learn the tools used by investment professionals to analyze different fixed-income and equity portfolio investment strategies. Experience investment first-hand by trading financial assets and acquiring the skills that will enable you to manage a portfolio.
BUSI 4510: Mergers and Acquisitions
Enhance your understanding of, and gain an appreciation for what managers and investment bankers do when their firms/clients choose to grow their businesses inorganically through corporate tie-ups.

Outside the Classroom
The Fund @ Sprott
A select group of Sprott students actively manage The Fund@Sprott, an equity portfolio investing real capital in the North American equity markets. Students in the Fund learn investment strategies in a team environment and gain real money-management experience. Alumni of the Fund have gone onto careers in investment banking and financial services at such organizations as Barra MSCI, Morgan Stanley, Barclays, TD Waterhouse, RBC Capital Markets, Brookfield Asset Management, Bank of Canada and Export Development Canada. Fund alumni have also been accepted into some of the top finance graduate programs in the world, including the University of Rochester and the London School of Economics. SFSA offers opportunities to expand your professional networks through networking events while providing opportunities to apply knowledge of finance in real-world settings including finance competitions and conferences.
