It has definitely been much too long since the last post! Since the last post I have:

It's hard to believe that all of this has happened in just the last few months! I can really say that I love Europe and all the opportunities it holds! Traveling is by far my favourite part of my adventure over here, and I seem to spend more time traveling than I do in Valencia! My last post was about travel, so as much as I would love to share my travel stories I thought I would talk about something a little different.
First off, we are currently nearing the famous celebrations of “Las Fallas” in Valencia and I couldn’t be more excited! Without getting into too many details about the festival, I'll just say that they love their fireworks! The season of Las Fallas opened in the beginning of March and will continue until about the 19th. There are fireworks every single day! If you think that sounds strange, they happen at 2:00 p.m.! It is so cool to see the city transform and watch the changes everyday. Everyone is busy preparing for this huge celebration and the streets fill with lights and decorations and food stands pop up all over! I can’t wait to see what is in store. I will be sure to give an update after!
The other thing I would like to mention is how I have started working as an Au-pair for a Spanish family with 3 boys. I was always interested in the idea of working as an Au-pair, but didn’t think I would do it during my year abroad. For those of you who know me, you know that I like to keep busy, so when the opportunity arised, I took it! It is such a neat experience being able to work with the family and interact with the children. The boys are 8, 6, and 1 year old and all attend an English school. Sometimes I am embarassed to admit that their level of English is equal (or maybe even better) to my level of Spanish! I was hired to work with the children in English, which makes things easier for me, but of course I am also learning Spanish from them! It is a great opportunity to be able to see how a Spanish family lives and make some great connections. This job is working out really well for me as it is only a few days a week. I will be with the family until the end of June and can already tell it will be hard to say goodbye!
Time over here is flying by, but I can gladly say that I am enjoying every minute of it! Only one more semester and then I will be heading back to Canada, which is so hard to believe! Before I head back, I know I will be on many more adventures. Just this month alone I will:
I will try to keep the updates coming! Enjoy!
