SSIH Partner Fondazione Soleterre ETS
Fondazione Soleterre ETS
Soleterre is a Italian-based nonprofit organization that provides medical treatment, safe housing and counseling support to children affected by cancer worldwide.

The project “Establishing a Canadian Presence for Soleterre Onlus” aims to create a network of partners, donors, and stakeholders for Soleterre in Canada, through a strategy similar to the one Soleterre already uses in other foreign markets.

Fundraising is about connecting people with a shared goal: making a strong social impact. I met the SSIH team by chance, and their energy, humility, and dedication have opened new opportunities for Soleterre in Canada (a country we couldn’t have reached alone). Each of them should be proud, not just of their work, but of the support they’ve brought to the children Soleterre helps.

Soleterre has identified several key initiatives it aims to accomplish. To achieve these goals, students will undertake a variety of responsibilities:
Establishing a Canadian Friends of Soleterre for Fundraising and Awareness:
Soleterre would like to establish a stronger presence in Canada in an effort to expand its fundraising and awareness. Students will be responsible for mapping laws, regulations, and opportunities regarding the expansion, while also preparing a business plan for a virtual presence. They will also be expected to define a possible roadmap for this implementation.
Expanding the Canadian Network Around Soleterre:
The organization would like to further develop a Canadian network of investors. Students will be conducting targeted research to identify potential supporters aligned with global health equity. They will also facilitate networking opportunities and track interactions to build lasting relationships with these new connections.
Exploring Philanthropic Opportunities:
Soleterre seeks to leverage philanthropic opportunities available in Canada. Students will conduct thorough research to identify potential foundations and corporations interested in supporting Soleterre’s humanitarian causes. This research will form the basis for targeted outreach and partnership development efforts.
Enhancing Marketing and Communications:
Students will collaborate on enhancing Soleterre’s marketing and communications strategies to elevate its visibility and impact. This includes developing a compelling communication campaign, creating effective contact tools, and optimizing the presentation of Soleterre’s website and social media platforms.
