If your first language is not English, you must prove your language proficiency by:
- presenting one of the official Language Proficiency (ESL) test scores;
- showing that you have completed ESLA 1900 or ESLA 1905 at Carleton University with a final grade of B- or higher; or
- presenting official certification (transcripts) that you have completed an undergraduate or graduate degree within the past three years in a university in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom or any country in which the primary language is English, where the language of instruction in the relevant educational institution was English, and the language of instruction in your most recently completed undergraduate or graduate degree was English.

We are very strict in ensuring the English proficiency requirement is met and therefore, we do not offer conditional admission for those who do not meet the English proficiency requirement.

We do not offer Winter admission. There is one entry point for the program – September of each year.

Unfortunately, no. International candidates are only considered for full-time studies and we no longer offer part-time studies.

A minimum GMAT score of 550 overall or equivalent GRE score, a 4-year undergraduate degree in any discipline with a cumulative average over all four years of a “B”. Two recommendations are also required. If you have been out of academia for at least four years or more, professional recommendations may be used, otherwise academic recommendations are required. You may also be required to meet the minimum Language Proficiency criteria. Please review the comprehensive list of admission criteria.

To determine if a candidate meets the CGPA requirement, all four years of study and all courses are taken into account when calculating the cumulative grade point average.

No, while we welcome students with a range of work experience, the Sprott MBA includes an integrative experiential internship to ensure that all MBA graduates complete the program ready to succeed in the job market. Students with two or more years of professional work experience may apply to be exempted from the internship once in-program.

No, the Sprott MBA does not include a thesis. As the program is strictly course based, a supervisor is not required.
