Awarded annually, on the recommendation of the Dean of the Sprott School of Business, to an outstanding full-time undergraduate student proceeding to Third or Fourth year of the Commerce program. The recipient is to be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. Donor: Women's Business Network Association of Ottawa, an association created to promote, improve and profile women in business. Awarded annually to one or two students on the recommendation of the Dean of the Sprott School of Business to outstanding undergraduate Indigenous students entering or proceeding from one year to another in any program within the Sprott School of Business. Awarded annually on the recommendation of the Dean of the Sprott School of Business to outstanding undergraduate students who identify as women who are enrolled in a Bachelor of Commerce degree program. Awarded annually, on the recommendation of the Dean of the Sprott School of Business, to one or two outstanding students proceeding from Third to Fourth year of the Bachelor of Commerce with a concentration in Managing People and Organizations program. Eligible students will have demonstrated interest in a career in Human Resources and will have engaged in volunteer activities/club membership with the Sprott School of Business or in the community at large. Preference will be given to students who are current or past members of HRPA (Ottawa) and/or have demonstrated engagement in the HR community. Awarded annually on the recommendation of the Dean of the Sprott School of Business to the top student in the small business management course. This award was established by Kelly and Nandi Mital of Ottawa in recognition of their granddaughter Rhea and in memory of Mr. Kelly Mital's parents Mr. and Mrs. F.C. Awarded annually, on the recommendation of the Dean of the Sprott School of Business, to a deserving student proceeding from one year to another in the Sprott School of Business studying small business and entrepreneurship. Eligible students must demonstrate financial need, must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada (landed immigrants or protected persons) and must meet OSAP’s Ontario residency requirements. Awarded annually on the recommendation of the Dean of the Sprott School of Business in consultation with the Director of the Innovation Hub to an outstanding full-time undergraduate student entrepreneur proceeding from one year to another in any program of study who demonstrates a commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship. Awarded annually to one or two outstanding Third or Fourth Year student(s) enrolled in either the Bachelor of Commerce or the Bachelor of International Business programs. The recipients will have demonstrated outstanding leadership potential through on-campus and/or off-campus leadership activities. Recipients must also meet the Ontario residency requirement as per OSAP, be Canadian citizens or permanent residents, have a cumulative grade point average of at least 8.0 and be able to demonstrate financial need. Awarded annually on the recommendation of the Dean of the Sprott School of Business, to one outstanding student entering the third year of a Bachelor of Commerce with a concentration in Supply Chain Management. Preference will be given to students who attended an Ottawa area High School. This award may be renewable should the recipient successfully proceed to fourth year. Awarded annually on the recommendation of the Dean of the Sprott School of Business, to an outstanding undergraduate student proceeding from one year to another in the Bachelor of Commerce program within the area of supply chain. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate involvement in extracurricular activities related to the field of supply chain management. Endowed in 2021 by the Directors of the former APICS Ottawa Chapter in memory of colleague and leader in the profession, Benjamin M. Schlussel.Amount Available $800
Value: $1500. A minimum of fifteen awarded annually to students in the Bachelor of International Business Program, and the Bachelor of Commerce Program, on the recommendation of the Dean of the Sprott School of Business. The intention of this award is to assist students who will spend at least one full semester on exchange to a university outside of Canada. Eligibility is based on academic achievement across all courses. Awarded annually, on the recommendation of the Dean of the Sprott School of Business, to the student with the highest academic standing who is proceeding from Second to Third year of the Bachelor of International Business or the Bachelor of Commerce with a concentration in International Business. Established in 1996 by Jonathan Stout Cunningham BComm/79, to encourage competition among students. Endowed in 2000. Revised 2006 and 2011 to honour Jon’s late mother Shirley Ann (Stout) Cunningham, who passed away in December 2009.Amount Available: $400

Awarded annually on the recommendation of the JoAnna Townsend Steering Committee, by the Director of the Sprott School of Business, to a student in the Bachelor of International Business program, who is in their mandatory year abroad studying Spanish or Portuguese in Central America, South America or Spain. This award was endowed in 2004 by Barbara Orser and family, friends and colleagues, in memory of Ms. JoAnna Townsend. Revised 2014.
