BCom Change of Program Catalogue Year Request

A request to change your program catalogue year will result in a change to your program requirements. It is important that prior to submitting this request form you understand the implications of this decision on your program progression and on your academic goals. Please complete and submit this form only after connecting with a Sprott Undergraduate Program Advisor at bcom@sprott.carleton.ca.

Overview of Fall 2021 Program Changes

As of the Fall 2021 term, the Bachelor of Commerce Program major requirements will reflect the removal of ECON 2009 and STAT 2607 from the program as required courses. Additionally, the Concentration in International Business will reflect a reduction in the number of credits required, with BUSI 4719 no longer included as a required course.

Attention Students in the Concentration in Finance

STAT 2607 will continue to be a prerequisite for BUSI 4500, BUSI 4502, BUSI 4510, and BUSI 4511. Students in Finance must complete STAT 2607 in order to progress and successfully complete their concentration.

Attention Students in the Concentration in International Business

BUSI 4719 will not be offered as of Fall 2021. Students may choose to change their catalogue year if they wish to adopt all changes introduced as of the Fall 2021 term and see their concentration requirements adjusted.

Note that a change of calendar year is not required to waive your BUSI 4719 requirement. Students may choose to maintain their current catalogue year and take an approved 4000-level BUSI course in lieu of BUSI 4719. Note that the following courses may NOT be used in lieu of BUSI 4719: BUSI 4705, BUSI 4709, BUSI 4601, BUSI 4609, BUSI 4205, BUSI 4717, BUSI 4111, BUSI 4117, and BUSI 4904.
