Migao’s current research interests include data-driven business analytics, application of artificial intelligence in business analytics, consumer behavior analysis, and lead management in inside sales. In his research, he employs a range of quantitative methods, including machine learning algorithms, data mining models, and SEM. He is currently working on exploring models to assess consumer willingness to pay for sustainable products based on demographic and behavioral data in digital marketing and sustainability. Additionally, he is working on investigating the accuracy, reliability, and impact of AI-generated recommendations on managerial decision-making. 

The interdisciplinary background of Migao’s research is reflected in his outlets for publication. These include Decision Support Systems, Information Technology & Management, and GigaScience. In addition, Migao’s current work has received a minor R&R in the Journal of Personal Selling & Sales Management. Furthermore, Migao’s work has been presented at the prestigious Pacific-Asia Conference on Information Systems (PACIS, 24), one of the top five global conferences in information systems.

Dr. Wu is currently accepting MSc students for the 2025/2026 academic year.
