Sprott Unveils New Strategic Plan to Drive Innovation and Collaboration in Business and Society
The Sprott School of Business at Carleton University is charting a new course to navigate this time of extraordinary change and complex global challenges. Sprott’s new Strategic Plan harnesses the power of collaboration, innovation, and shared purpose to drive meaningful change in business and society.
“Business is about building relationships and collaborating to uncover solutions that help all,” said Howard Nemiroff, dean of the Sprott School of Business.
“Over the past several months, we have engaged internal stakeholders, alumni and external partners in important conversations about who we are as a School, what the world needs from business education and where Sprott is uniquely positioned to lead – entrepreneurial agility across all areas of business.”
The result is a dynamic plan that allows for flexibility and agility as business, society and technology evolve at unprecedented speed.
Sprott’s strategic direction centres around three interconnected core principles:
- Transformational education for lifelong learning: Delivering innovative, flexible and accessible educational experiences to encourage entrepreneurial mindsets and prepare students for dynamic careers.
- Research excellence with societal impact: Advancing knowledge creation that addresses pressing societal challenges in collaboration with industry partners.
- Community engagement for shared prosperity: Building strong connections with local, national and international community partners, employers and alumni to advance shared prosperity.
“Across our research, teaching and partnerships, we are guided by a shared responsibility for the world around us, bold imagination that questions the status quo and a strong sense of purpose in contributing to a better future,” said Nemiroff.
