A New Pathway to Financial Modeling Accreditation for Sprott Master of Finance Students
The Sprott School of Business has joined the Financial Modeling Institute (FMI) as an academic partner, which provides Carleton University Master of Finance (MFin) students with a pathway to professional accreditation in financial modeling.
In today’s fast-moving economic landscape, financial modeling skills are essential for financial and business leaders to help manage risk, identify opportunities for growth and allocate capital optimally for profitability and sustainability. Financial modeling relies on technical and analytical skills to build data-driven roadmaps for strategic decision making.
FMI is an internationally recognized organization that promotes awareness, excellence and discipline in financial modeling through world-class accreditation programs. Through this partnership, Sprott MFin students have cost-free access to FMI’s Foundations in Financial Modeling program, providing them with access to key concepts and best practices in financial modeling. Upon completion of the Foundation in Financial Modeling program, MFin students can access FMI’s Advanced Financial Modeler accreditation program at a discounted rate.
Sprott’s Master of Finance program delivers advanced financial concepts, as well as the data analytics and technological skills required for today’s financial careers. In addition to the 16-month full-time stream, Sprott recently introduced a part-time stream.
