Sprott Supply Chain Management students win national title at SCMA Student Case Competition
Two teams of undergraduate students at the Sprott School of Business competed in the 2017 Supply Chain Management Association Student Case Competition, hosted at McMaster University on February 25, 2017.
Grigory Didur, Sonya Gulati, Petar Radovic and Thomas Schubert won the national championship, finishing at the top of 27 teams representing 23 universities and colleges across Canada. Congratulations also go to Sprott students Nhi Tran, Eric Nguyen, Sophia Krystek and Michael Rychlewski for their strong performance in the competition.
The competition consisted of an Eastern and Western Division round; the top three teams from each division advanced to the final round. Each team was evaluated by a panel of judges consisting of industry professionals, academics and corporate sponsors.
The Eastern Division teams were: University of Toronto, Ryerson, Wilfrid Laurier, McMaster, Brock, UOIT, Laval, St. Mary’s, Humber College, George Brown, Sheridan, Fanshawe, St. Lawrence, and Conestoga College. The Western Division included University of Calgary, Mount Royal, University of Manitoba, University of Saskatchewan, and MacEwan University.
The Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA) is Canada’s largest association for supply chain management professionals. It represenst 7,500 members as well as the wider profession working in roles that cover sourcing, procurement, logistics, inventory, and contract management. SCMA sets the standards for excellence and ethics, and is the principal source of professional development and accreditation in supply chain management in Canada.
The Sprott School of Business offers a Supply Chain Management concentration with a co-op option in our Bachelor of Commerce Program.
